Can I send or process email attachments with my application?

The BlackBerry handheld does not receive or send standard email attachments. All data sent to and from the handheld should be performed using direct HTTP network transfer. If you want to render or process email attachments in your application, you might want to consider processing the attachment at a back-end server and forwarding small chunks of relevant data to the handheld via HTTP.
