How do I load applications onto my BlackBerry handheld?
Article Information:
There are two ways to load applications onto a BlackBerry handheld: the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and the JavaLoader.exe utility.
Loading applications onto the handheld with the BlackBerry Desktop Manager is the preferred method and requires a .alx loading configuration file. For development and testing purposes, applications can also be loaded directly onto the handheld using the JavaLoader.exe utility provided with the BlackBerry Java Development Environment (JDE). For each method you must specify the location of the .cod application file(s) to be loaded. For more information on using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and JavaLoader.exe to load applications, please refer the to the BlackBerry JDE Developer Guide.
